Lembeh strait scuba diving - Nudi falls pictures and dive site description
|
Site : Nudi falls
Location : Northern Sulawesi, Indonesia in the famous Lembeh strait
Description : A small wall starting at the surface directly from the land reaching the sandy covered bottom in 22 metres this 50 metre stretch of wall is covered in featherstars and weirdly shaped sponges in every colour of the rainbow. As you focus on the wall and start to look closer at the sponges and featherstars and you begin to see some beautifully coloured nudibranchs sheltering and eating amongst the corals, lots and lots of nudibranchs. The more you look the more you see, it's a never ending visual feast of nudibranch behaviour as they mate, eat and lay eggs along the wall. At one point a nudi, disturbed by my bubbles trailing up the wall, floated past my mask on the way to the bottom to start it's Everest like climb once again prompted the question in my mind, was this how the dive site got it's name?
